Shelby Pride is part of a growing coalition across Cleveland County and is a nonpartisan sister organization with Kudzu Coalition and Cleveland County Mutual Aid Partnership. As an organization seeking to create community for LGBTQIA+ folks in the Cleveland County area, we recognize that queerness intersects with other aspects of life (like class, race, sex, and age) and hope our liaison with other local grassroots organizations like these only work to help further serve the community here around Shelby, NC.
